Durban MyWireless Access

Hey dbnnet. What kind of connection do you get at 8%? Is it usable? I am 3.95KM from bay of plenty is that gonna give me a decent signal?

I am getting only 13% but by moving stuff around I can get 48% VERY good speed as well. Even at only 13% this thing is rocketing![}:)]

Yes I had that response this afternoon. For some reason I decided to disconnect after being connected continuously for 5 days or so, to enable my infrared connector on the mobo, and when I rebooted that was the response I got. Tried about 20 times to logon. Infrared worked perfectly [:p]
After uninstalling the software and reinstalling, i'm back to normal (plus the infrared). I got the same message each time I tried to logon. [:)]
I'm in Durban off Sunningdale [102] with 12-16% with no antenna (don't need one) [:)]
 
After re-installing the software I have been able to logon first time each time about 5 times so my connection seems to be ok now [;)]
 
Hey, What is the closest base-station to Westville/Westville North?
How long befor its operational?

Hello fellow westvillian! I understand that the highway area is high on the priority list for phase 2 rollout but quite when is anyone's guess. Logic (well my logic) thinks that they must put a tower up cowies hill somewhere which would make me very happy but at the moment its just be patient!!
 
A tower on Cowies Hill would be nice.
I suppose Westville will pose quite a problem being unusually hilly (not too sure 'hilly' is a real word, if not substitute with 'filled with hills'). But I would think there would be quite a market in Westville.

Last night I had to reset my pc for a non-MyWireless related hangup and again battled to logon [V] . This time I did not re-install the software, only reset modem, deleted connection, etc, etc, and finally logged on again....so something has definitaly changed with the logon setup in Jhb....maybe one only needs to wait a few minutes before attempting to log on again after rebooting [?]
