Hey i finally see that their is a second container on top of Inverness, i guess this must be the long awaited "Overport" tower. Anyone with any idea of when it will go live??

Yes, I saw it last week. I could not see a tower or sectors though!
I'm keen to try Inverness, as Bay of Plenty still disconnects me
almost all the time!!

No!
The IPWireless technical guru's (along with one of their Senior Vice Presidents)
are arriving in the country next week.
I have been given an undertaking from all the players (Sentech, Fastcomm and IpWireless)
that by the end of August all outstanding issues will be resolved.
If not.... it's over for me, and I'll move over to ADSL
(Not something I really wish to do though, as this wireless technology suits me...
if they can get it to work).
In the meanwhile, I'll give Sentech some credit: Without any fuss, they suspended the account
(whilst keeping it active)and no payments have been made.

I see the backhaul link has been added, but still no sector antanae.

Hello would just like to ask a question.. I play Battlefield1942 with ave pings of 140 or so(i hear this is 56k ping equivalent so what the..?) and i also use this program that does a constant ping to the server and produces a graph of it. Now in this graph i get TIMEOUTS about every 11secs now imagine this playing a quake type game, when u wanna move 90deg right and end up in the whole opposite direction.. very sad. Also yesterday (friday 06) i got disconnected for about 15min and when it connected back there was like 1 timeout for every 7minutes or so, but alas it has returned.
So is this sentech and its unbelievable packet loss??

Reality is boring for those who dont know ANYTHING about it.

Good news:
All the Durban towers NodeB's are to be upgraded to Ver.5 starting
on Friday 20 August.

Also... Inverness has Sectors 0 and 120 complete and soon will be ready for switch on.

Heya Pro - I'm on 82 Mintek - I believe it's already upgraded as well ? ... If so the v5 firmware from your site's actually giving me more packetloss... Will keep testing ;-)

Went searching.... latest v5 for the 1C series modems (that I can find) is 5.0.1.40y ... but I see that there is a 5.0.1.53b available for the 1D series modems ...

Pro - do you have a later v5 firmware version ?

rtv, yes Mintek was done, one thing to try (just guessing here) un-install complete then reinstall the British Install complete.
