Duromine diet pills

I eat between 12 and 8 every day. It varies, but usually that. Sometimes I break my fast at 7:30 and have my last meal at 8:30.

EDIT

Completely agree with saor

After you do intermittent fasting for a few days, you realize that you dont have to be eating all the time. That a lot of the signals you get to eat are just psychological. You realize how dependent you were on food, and how you often reward yourself with food. I still do reward myself with food, but less often than I used.

I AM an emotional eater. And I DO reward myself with food. That will be the hardest thing to shake.

I used to, at the end of the day just before I broke my fast. But to be honest, I'm not convinced that it makes a massive difference if you break your fast before exercising.

Can't exercise at the moment due to injury.

Thanks.

Reason I'm asking is I workout quite hard, but always after work. So will be after I break the fast.

Wanted to know if you still had the energy to complete a strenuous workout.

I'm finishing up with a very successful bulk in about 3 weeks time and to just get that little bit of fat gained off again I want to give IF a go.

Don't want to derail this thread so I will take it to the Weightloss/Gain Thread or the BodyBUilding Thread closer to the time.

Thanks

Ancalagon and soar

Do you workout at all while doing IF?
Trail running and light calisthenics (evening after work, around 17:00). I've never noticed any negative effect on energy levels. I actually tend to feel more energized tbh, but that's also in part to me feeling like I'm achieving more with my free time and subsequently feeling good about it. It's funny how much mental stuff comes into play :). I do it Sunday (night) through to Thursday (night) and eat whenever I want over the weekend. I've never noticed a single down-side to IF, especially not once that 2 week adjustment phase is over - then you start cruising.

Thanks.

Used to do about 45 minutes to an hour workouts before breaking my fast, never really had any problems.

Actually the problem becomes taking in all that food in such a short space of time. I also used to exercise after work, which meant I'd break my fast at about 6PM. I'd then have about 3 to 3.5 hours to cram in all of the food that I needed to eat that day. Its possible, you just don't feel so lekker.

Things like protein shakes fill you up for a long time, and I needed them to hit my protein macros.

Yeah. It is a difficult one with hitting macros. Which is why I didn't even consider it for gaining mass. Only going to have a look at it for cutting.

Even if you are cutting, it is an issue. Most men need somewhere around 2000 calories per day, and something like an absolute minimum of that should be 100g of protein (depending on who you ask and which studies you believe).

I won't be training fasted though. Fasted cardio is one thing. Fasted 140kg deadlifts is a whole different beast. Not even going to attempt that one.

I'll probably fast from 20h00 to 13h00 the next day. Then have a few snacks, small meals, shake before I head home @ 17h00 and do my workout from 17h30 to 18h30ish. Then obviously have my biggest meal of the day.

Will obviously take some adjusting in the beginning to get it to work for me. But luckily I have 3 weeks to work out a decent plan.

Can you do this at a normal gym or do I need to join a crossfit or something like that?

ask at your local gym about their circuit...
their fitness staff can explain it.

Important to warm up before and cool down after.
In the beginning take it slower. See how many times you can complete the circuit in 45min.
with time you can speed up,

So it's just that normal circuit that they have the gym with the timer? How do I know how hard I should push myself?

I can't seem to find resources online on what to eat when intermittent fasting. Can anyone suggest a site?

Eat whole foods. Vegetables, nuts, fruit, fats, good quality meat etc. There's no need to think of diets as being a 'special way of eating' thing you do for a while. Eat whole foods, and eat like that all the time. Especially when fasting, don't add nutritionless junk like crackers and bread to a meal - if everything on your plate is a freshly prepared, whole, nutrient dense food - you're ok.

Best thing would be to browse some food blogs for food ideas :).

Thanks. Will do. :)

Can we change this thread to the diet thread? Or is there already a general thread for dieting?

What Saor said. And for the love of ****, do not "cut out all carbs" as so many suggest. You need carbs like you need protein. Get them from good sources like brown pasta, lentils, barley, corn etc., not from sugars, refined sugars and refined grains (like white rice, although they have their benefits depending on what you want to do). The more processed the food is, the more you should stay away from it.

I have a feeling you are not telling us something. You are very fat. What that means is even if you cut a couple of hundred calories from your daily consumption, and exercise even once a week, you should lose a lot more than 0.5-1kg. Those mood stabilisers might be ****ing you up, or something else.

If you live in Pretoria I know a couple of guys in my old gym who will sort you out asap.

I know a few people who lied or still do to themselves for years believing their own bs.
The only way to resolve being obese is to be honest with yourself. Some even had a food diary where they left out items and continued lying to themselves. It really is as easy for most people as eating properly.

Nope. I'm telling you everything. What could have totally ****ed me up, is the fact that my mom suddenly died more than a year ago and I went on an eating binge on bad/fast food for months. Been trying to lose the weight ever since. It's been very hard.

Sorry to hear that :(.
Do you find yourself stressed or in a state of constant anxiety?

How are your stress levels?

Thanks for the concern, guys. My stress level is fine. I think I might have "underlying stress" or suppressed stress, if that is even a thing. I have very little work stress. I don't sit in a corner an wallow. I reward myself with food and I comfort myself with food. I've always done that. I was taught to do that since I was a kid. Been keeping that under control. What's the changes of my binging rampage from a year ago could have totally messed me up?
