DVB-T2

Just when I thought I was ready to make my purchase (LA32C530), I think Im leaving here with more questions than answers.... I appreciate the comments/assistance. I guess I will sleep on it and continue to read through here tomorrow in an effort to try and make up my mind.

Any references to where to purchase a TV / NMC950 (in Cape Town) at lower prices than already referred to in this post also welcome!

If I were you, regarding TVs, I would stop reading right now. I would go to the shop and test each set out under the same SD source. By each set I mean specifically the LA32C530 and PS42C430.

The cheapest is usually Game as they beat any price, with a 10% of the difference in price from the cheaper competitor as a discount.

Only go for the NMC950 if you want to run an internal HDD in it (or, look into the AC Ryan Playon HD, it's also a budget media player and more popular and better documented than the Compro. If you have more to spend, look at the Mede8er). If you want to use external HDDs/flash drives, just get the WD TV - it's cheaper and smaller.

You can private message me if you want the Compro/WD TV.

Not that it is of much help to you as you are based in Cape Town, but New World in Menlyn has the LA32C550 for R4300. Went TV shopping with my brother last week and Game was the most expensive of the shops that we went to.
