If i connect my external hdd with my Lg dvd player with usb, will it be able to pick up the external hdd? Will i be able to play my movies?

Yes it should... the only limitation I have found is that some of them can only read USB devices formatted with FAT32. My Telefunken can only read FAT32. But I am sure your LG should be able to pick up the USB drive. Won't hurt to try.

Same problem I have with mine :o

Re the Fat 32,Same here with a Phillips + only Divx format from the HD

My LG can only pick up fat32 :D Not much of a problem really - formatted my 120gb to fat32 using swissknife and works lovely.

hmmm, seems like almost all of them want FAT32. Rather get an Mvix player then...

They can handle drives formatted with NTFS and have far more features. I have the 5000-U with a 500 Gb Seagate drive. It sits next to my TV with a ton of my movies and TV episodes on it. Plugs into my sound system through the optical connector and to my computer via an extended USB cable.
