Hi guys,

I'm new to this, but I would just like to get a few opinions about a South African IT company called DVT which I am pursuing a possible career with but I have just received negative feedback from a recruitment agent about them, on how people leave in 4 months, they do not honour their increases and them just being a bad company to work for. Now I understand that this could also be driven by a failed relationship between the recruiter and the company (DVT) and circumstances will differ greatly from individual to individual. I just need to get feedback from potential people who have worked for, are working for or with and know people who have or are currently working for them on whether it's a good idea to leave my current company for them or not.

Thank you in advance,
Best Regards,
Shaun

What kind of position are you looking at? Are you a software developer?

Your big three dev companies in JHB:

BBD
DVT
EOH

I worked for BBD. Good company.
I'd consider working for DVT.

I won't put any weight in what a recruiter says about a company especially considering they can be "bought" with higher commission by certain companies to poach people from their competitors. Said company is not listed here because I just won't do that to you.

Did a course with some peeps that were BA's at DVT and also know a guy that went there as scrum master or similar - they seemed quite chuffed to be honest. I'd consider working for them.
