does any1 own a MSI NX8800GTS T2D640E. if u do, pls help, 'cause my directx version is 9.0c and it doesn't seem to upgrade to directx10. i've looked everywhere on the CD but it isn't there. pls someone help if they have this graphics card.

dude u need windows vista to get directx 10

xp users cannot use dx10

not a really big deal as dx10 is not that much better to be honest

thnx alot dude! i never knew that. well i am going to have to save up some money now.

I can agree with killadoob; I installed Vista just to check Crysis in DX10.

Look buddy, unless you KNOW what to look for, you won't notice any difference.

Just play your games in HIGHEST detail... It's nothing to rave about.

I ultimately went back to XP - stuff Vista and DX10.

i think geforce 9 is the one with Directx 10.1 and the ATI Radeon HD3870 also has, but i'm not planning on buying any of those in about half to a years time. got a 8800GTS 640MB.

by the way, i wanted to ask if there is any way to overclock my really old Pentium4 3.0Ghz. currently runs on a 1 year old ECS motherboard, geforce 7300GT, 80gig hardrive and 1gig ram. any software pls link.
Thanx

You'll need a really good third party cooler. OC in ur bios, not with software. Up the FSB and voltage etc.

A board upgrade might suit you as well. In your case, the board you have would most likely limit your overclocking potentional. Providing you have got a PCI-Express graphics and DDR2 RAM. You can get one now that can take your new CPU when you have the money for it. The new boards are all rated to 1333FSB, so you got plenty of headroom with your 800FSB P4.

It is cheap but good quality. Should only set you back about R850.

With a good Zalman 9700 or 9500 cooler, I'm pretty sure you can get 4Ghz without having to up Voltage.

I got a 2.6Ghz Celeron running at 4Ghz. 533FSB to 800FSB Runs media Centre much better now :p

it does have DDR2 667mhz ram and 7300GT PCI-Express slot DDR2

Yup, With a simple patch you can have crysis in DX9 look like the DX10 version and save about R900 on Vista ;)

Dude, your PC can play it at very high!?
What are your specs!?

how do u know????
Specs:
Intel P4 3.0ghz (OC to 3.45ghz)
Transcend 1gig ddr2 667mhz memory
80gig hardrive
8800GTS 640MB

i know its not much but i am gathering parts for the new one.

For the most part Very High aka DX10 is unplayable in Crysis other than on an overclocked 8800Ultra. GT/GTS won't do as bandwidth just isn't there. Even on the Ultra overclocked, you can forget about AA...

No, I was asking if you could.. Otherwise why would you ask for the download link..

'cause its definitely cheaper than getting vista. so if u do have the download link pls give it to me.

Jst google it dude, pretty much jst a registry hack type of thing If i remember correctly.

Besides, you won't be able to play it at that setting anyway, so there's no point really.
