Hi guys can someone tell me what has happened to the service , is it not free anymore?
I am trying to log into it to change an IP address for the one domain I use and I cannot find it anywhere, so I try to re-create the domain and it says its already registered.

They are trying to get you to pay. Similar thing happened to mine but I was lucky that I was able to re-register the host.
Now they want you to log on to their portal once a month or pay a $10 VIP Fee and never logon for a year.

The number of free domains have been reduced and the free option is now harder to find iirc.

you trying to remote login to your CCTV?

use no-ip but you will need to run the app to update the ip but it is free

Just use no-ip.

EDIT: Was lazy and didn't see that it was mentioned already. It's easy to use, most new routers that have dynamic dns support now also support no-ip, if not download the app - there is a Windows and Linux app.

You will love this one marine1

I just checked my tp-link router. There is Dyndns, No-ip and best of all.... Comexe
I suggest the last one.....it looks like the best of the 3 : http://www.comexe.cn/

I'm still using my free DynDNS accounts, but I have to click on a stupid link that they send every 30 days to prevent it from expiring :(

Can you explain a bit further?

go to www.no-ip.org register a host, then download the updates app, install it on a PC on the same network (this can sometimes be an issue as some guys have only their CCTV on the line for example)

enter your new host details on the app and it will keep the IP address on the host up to date.

you will also need to do your regular port forwarding.
