E-tag rollout is premature

They've got these little kiosks popping up all over the place.

What's even scarier is that people are buying these e-tag things

It's not just the E-tag rollout that is premature. The entire toll road project is a massive abortion!

I will fight the urge to post the obligatory Fight Club comment here..

this is one that breaks the cash cow's back.

I thought the hearing concerned only subsequent phases of the GFIP? Well that's what I heard SANRAL say over the weekend anyway.
By the way refusing to buy the tag doesn't get off you off the paying hook.

Wrong, they will have to scrap the whole idea if nobody buys the tag.
The tags make it easier for them to collect the tolls, but doesn't stop the project. It will just mean more road blocks to nail the non-payers.
I don't live in Gauteng & am certainly not buying a tag & I'll only pay when they stop me. It's just too inconvenient.

Some of us are so gatvol of this crap that we are willing to risk more severe penalties just to make our point.
If they have to hunt me down and give me a fine for not paying, so be it.
If they have to drag me up in front of a judge, great! Then I will have a chance to speak my mind.
If he fines me for contempt of court, so be it.
We are sick of all this constant financial ass rape and corruption.
I'm not paying them another damn cent. They have enough of my money already.

The admin and costs of trying to get us to buy the stupid tag and pay up would be ridiculous. It won't be worth all the time and effort on their end

They'll just increase the license fees, fuel costs and taxes in Gauteng, if the tolling is scrapped.
