E-toll fight continues: Outa

Outa has vowed to continue the fight against Sanral’s e-toilling system, and is mulling it options to pursue further litigation – or to leave the battle in the hands of other organizations and the public.
 
National stay at home day.
Everyone who drives that road - all stay off the roads for one day.
And no - not on a weekend or national holiday. But they will notice if almost no shop is open or office is staffed.

Sounds good but how many company owners are willing to give up one days production/sales?

A more practical solution would be to map permanent alternative routes to avoid using the e-corruption roads entirely -- better to ensure they won't see a cent.
 
No, go to work as normal. Just dont get an eTag and dont pay your bills until at least 3 months after you get them.

Cash flow will then become a MAJOR issue for them. Plus, paying them like that instead of with an eTag forces them to spend much more money to collect your money - much more labour is involved.

If you stay at home, you are only punishing your employer. If you go to work but practice civil disobedience, only the government is hurt.

And its completely legal. Its not that you are NOT paying, its that you are paying... late and on your own terms.

you also will be affording yourself the opportunity to launch a collateral challenge - buying etags and so on would preclude you from challenging the legality of the tolling. The bottom line out of the SCA decision is that OUTA brought a direct challenge on administrative law grounds too late. If the SANRAL want to collect money they are still going to have to account when challenged for the legality of their conduct.
