E272 error

Hi

While installing the VMC lite software from an E272 modem

I get the following error

The firmware is upgraded to the latest version, I did that on my Vista PC

but it doesnt want to run on Win XP

any ideas?

Do you have local admin rights on the XP pc?

Have you tried the full VMC 9.3 software?

I'm not really a fan of the Lite version.

I had no problems with the Lite version before, I swop it regularly between a Vista and XP laptop.

I would uninstall the software completely and try again. Also make sure you have .Net framework installed on the XP machine. Think it is on the E272 modem, but just in case.

I've seen that error before. As far as i can tell, it seems to be corrupt files on the users PC. Cant remember if updating the software or re-installing it works.

I've also seen it happen one time when Windows hasn't properly initialized. Then after Windows booted it opened the Software.
