e3 2008, pc games !?, what pc games ?

so if i missed it apart from fallout 3 and new crysis what really something-else-than-normal is coming to pc ?

www.gametrailers.com, looking at e3 2008 had me left wondering if there is light at the end of the tunnel - o getting a console so i can play force unleashed and afro samrui to mention a few thats going down that road.

yes... i still have all my originals; xwing, tie fighter, rebel assault 1 + 2, dark forces, jedi knight, jedi knight mysteries of the sith, jedi knight outcast, phantom menace, xwing vs tie fighter, balance of power and kotor 1 + 2 :D
 
ok, I'm gonna go out on a limb here ........ Necuno, you like Star Wars games? :p:D
 
I think nothing really came out at E3 with PC games because some pc developers don't think the conference matters anymore. Blizzard and Activision didn't even bother pitching (and didn't have plans too which is why I mention them seperately since this obviously takes time to plan). :P
 
ok, i confess i like it, but im an old school sw-er. GL both created and destroyed one of my favorite genres. (..speaking of, secret history of starwars is interesting read on this topic)

apart from the games, i have comics, books, more than enough media with films on hec i even have 5cm of the original film episode 1 was filmed on, 2x jedi robe and 2x light sabers with sounds :)

back to OP, i guess you right, the big boys skip e3/gdc and have their own shows :o

just feels like there isn't much left for pc as in the sense of WOW this is really something new and cool; looking at titles like crysis, ra3, fallout and l4d.

As is Dawn of War 2, World in Conflict and console exclusive Endwar and Halo Wars :D


In all honesty I find the whole "wait for E3" really tiresome and ultimately disappointing. I'd much prefer a steady stream of news throughout the year. Maybe the PC audience has already just moved in that direction.

dammit, wished I'd known that a month ago when the gf was going through a "lets dress up as star wars characters and have kinky sex" phase ;):D All /me managed to get was a Darth Vader mask :o

New E3 = F A I L

They had Brothers In Arm Hell's Highway :) it's "also" for PC
 
Well the Leipzig Games Convention seems to be E3's replacement since E3 failed.
So lets wait till after the next GC(20 - 24 August 2008) and see what pops up.
I'm not giving up on PC yet
