e3 2008, pc games !?, what pc games ?

ok, i confess i like it, but im an old school sw-er. GL both created and destroyed one of my favorite genres. (..speaking of, secret history of starwars is interesting read on this topic)

apart from the games, i have comics, books, more than enough media with films on hec i even have 5cm of the original film episode 1 was filmed on, 2x jedi robe and 2x light sabers with sounds :)
...

back to OP, i guess you right, the big boys skip e3/gdc and have their own shows :o

just feels like there isn't much left for pc as in the sense of WOW this is really something new and cool; looking at titles like crysis, ra3, fallout and l4d.

R u that fatboy with the lightsabre on Youtube?

Don't bother with consoles the best games for them end up coming out for the PC anyways and they are improved versions.

There is a lot of mmos coming out for the PC though.

Necuno - dont worry dude ... the star wars games are pure love !

Rebel Assault was something out of this world! (yes, pun intended)

the Jedi knight series was flipping awesome and I'm yet to find a game that runs as smoothly with melee fighting sequences as Jedi Academy!

Kotor1 & 2 are undoubtedly THE best RPG's of their time.

Personally I prefer the kotor period 5000yrs before the time of the galactic empire... now if they'd only hurry up with KOTOR3 already :(

Endwar looks promising :)

... Console Exclusive.

There is only one big PC exclusive company left and they have their own convention.

All the other PC content was cross platform, which I'll say is actually a really positive thing. There were a lot a ex console exclusives that are now coming to PC as well, like Last Remnant, so chin up, it's not all bad.

Most publishers barely think that E3 even counts anymore. PC gaming has never been as easy to comprehend as console gaming, mainly because PCs themselves can barely be considered as a single platform, but since these days so many games are multiplatform, some great PC games are hidden in niches that don't make sense to be shown at E3.

Even larger, well-known PC developers would be hard-pressed to afford a press conference or even floor space at E3. I mean, would anyone have known about CD Projekt or Stardock games if they hadn't made The Witcher or Sins of a Solar Empire?

the age of the pc gamers is dying

you will less and less big titles for pc games in the future

Well I haven't noticed a big drop off in good games. I have noticed there are less crap ones around though. It seems all the people who were out to make a quick buck off gamer's backs have moved to the consoles and I for one have no problem with that move :P
