I really need help with this one...

I have not been able to get the E620 card to work in Vista...

Device manager shows me the NEC hosts but no modem or serial interface.
That in turn leaves me unable to do the dailup setup.

The dashboard is a nict to have for me I just want the connection to be UP.

Good day,

DV

I've got the E620 working on Vista

When I go and check devices - All you need active or showing up is 2x NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller once both of them reflect then you open the UI and you should be A for away

Make sure that all the drivers in device manager are installed using system 32 to detect

Let me know -Ginggs if you have anything to add please feel free

Check with your notebook manufacturer if there is an updated driver for your PCMCIA controller.

64bit Drivers for Vista

Here is the reply from Huawei

--------------------------------------

I have checked the process of 64bit MTN driver for Vista. Huawei has begun the work. But there is one problem between QUALCOMM HSDPA chipset and 64bit Vista. We are waiting for the solution from Qualcomm now.

The MTN 64bit driver will launch in the beginning of April, if Qualcomm provides the solution on time. We will inform you the process for the issue ASAP.

Thank you!

Still no luck with the E620 in Vista for me...

Looked at the device drivers for the pcmcia No newer drivers out yet (Texas PCI7xx20)

The MTN UI does nothing, it does not see the card at all.

See this post.
What devices can you see in your device manager?
What make & model notebook do you have?
Does your E620 work on this hardware in XP?

I see the NEC PCI to USB Host adapters

It's a LG LW70

I don't know if the hardware worked Under XP I received the card when I was running Vista already. Had a Novatel U630 and it work 100% under XP.
I checked the LGE.com website and there is not one single update for Vista yet.
