Ear cleaning

Stuff the doctors. If you want an idiotproof way to clean your ears, apart from visiting an ENT Specialist, pour a few drops of 10% Hydrogen Peroxide into the ear and when all the Fizzing stops, wipe clean with a tissue or cotton bud.

This thing works the bomb - tryed Waxol,Hydrogen peroxide,& a variety of other oil based tricks last time it happened earlier in the year & nothing moved the wax enough to give me my hearing back, ended up having to go to the doc to get it suctioned.
This time same deal with the soft approach & then i found mention of this gizmo......WaterPik... 3-4 refills of warm water & hearing is BACK...

Those of you that have served in the military will know about a "pull-through" ... used to clean rifle barrels ... that's the best way to clean ears.

It works, as proved by the fact that all SA politicians use that method

I used to frequently have blocked ears and I was at the doctor more than a few times to have it syringed, but I've found that if you tilt your head sideways in the shower and let warm water run into it for a few minutes it clears out well. Just make sure to wipe out your ears with a bit of cotton afterwards.

Jetwashing my ears with a water pick… umm, no thanks.

Warm saltwater + 60ml syringe jet in and voila. I do it every month. Have chronic wax buildup. The firat time I did it I was deaf in my left ear for 3 years before I bothered to do anything about it... got 3 pieces of solid wax out that time. About the size of raisins... since then just little shards of wax.

2 methods - suck or blow

Suck - if you have a pool, swim around underwater for about 15 minutes ( while you are under you may as well multi-task by scrubbing the walls of the pool)
Then, after 15 minutes, grab your kreepy-krauly and attach to the ear. Allow her to do the work. As a precaution plug your other ear with something as you do not want to create a cross current.

Blow - Fire hose. A hose is simple enough for anyone to use. Attach to ear, use full power. However, one needs to block the other ear (see precaution above)

Recycle Recycle Recycle

Dont simply discard your wax. I prefer to create a set of candles for the dinner table. Given pride of place, they will remain a talking point of your envious dinner guests for many years to come.

LOL - would really be a win win subject for a 1st date dinner conversation don't you think...Humberto you listening?

best way is to put a tiny bit of olive oil in your ear every day, it loosens up the wax and it comes out naturally, what I do is take an old empty ear drop bottle and fill it up with olive oil and use that.

I've never had anything in my ears, so do you recommend I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil in them?

Ask the pharmacist for Sweet Oil. Add a few drops every evening for a week. It softens the wax and it falls out of your ear.
