Take a look on Takealot if they have the Sennheiser 429 available still. They had it on special for like R689.

Very confusing not sure what earphones are ? Are they earbuds or headphones or both,
I will also stick with the Phillips, they were on promotion on Tuesday Take A lot for R74 IIRC Fantastic price though bought a pair about 3 years ago for the same price

OP go to your local CNA and see if they have any promotions/red table(specials - end of range), picked up quality headphones for R100 begin of the year that retail for over R500-600.

I have Skullcandy earphones and headphones, never had a problem and from another thread on the forum, their warranty is awesome.

If you guys believe that then you've not heard anything that could be considered audiophile.

Have both Skullcandy and Senheiser and the Skullcandy does have a weaker cord but if looked after properly, it will last you for years. Sound wise I find Skullcandy is tuned more towards EDM and bassy music but Senheiser is for a more all round experience.
