Easter weekend tech specials

I know it wasn't listed under the tech specials, but I see Game has the Samsung 32" LA32D400 for R2899 this weekend. So now I'm trying to decide whether it's worth spending the R300 more for the LA32D550 unit listed in the article. The thing is, this TV will only be hooked up to DSTV (no HD channels - just standard decoder), and won't be used for anything else. So, should I just save the R300 rather, or what? (this isn't a main TV, so it's all about getting the cheapest offering vs a decent quality TV). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

For R300 it is defiantly worth paying extra for the networking extra hdmi and the higher definition ,windows can see the LA32D550 when you plug it in to the router well worth the R300
I bought one of these it is really great

No. Both Makro and Hi-Fi Corp state that they're open on public holidays, according to their websites, but when I tried the head offices and a few of the KZN branches, no one answered. So must be closed today :P

Any reason you took the UA32D5000 LCD over the LA32D550 LCD for R1,800 cheaper? :)

The FAQ has a question about this and the answer says that the on-screen display shows the frequency of the source signal but all input is upscaled to 100Hz.

So why not go for, or at least consider, this ?

HiFi Corp. also have a Sony 32" HD Ready at R2,999 , and if you want cheaper than you've already found, there's a Hisense there as well for R2,699 with 3-year warranty.
 
I had a site I used to go to that showed all the week's brochures & specials at Game, Makro, HiFi Corp, etc. Anybody know what that site is called?
