"Retrobok, where is the bomb?"
"I don't know, Zulgin. But Edgars have 50% off leather shoes today!"
Meanwhile at Eastgate: KABOOM!
Still not definitive evidence that it was real.
Surely they must have a ton of cctv footage on this perp? Its in a mall.
It may have been placed by a "local proxy of foreign spies" with "imperialist tenancies".
Or perhaps a certain soon-to-be ex-politician misunderstood he needed a killer launch for his fashion label that would be a hit with the local shopping centres ?
I think it's a knee-jerk reaction to excessive boney-M.
Oh please! Just listening to the news about how it was "positioned to cause maximum damage" and all that bull....
C'mon..they haven't even released if this was 3 firecrackers and a matchbox...or an actual C4/det device. Can't be ammoniuim nitrate based...a briefcase wouldn't carry enough to do anything. Only thing that would have done serious damage would be proper C4 or mining explosives or commercial explosives. And if any of those, we would hear about it fairly fast. So I'm guessing some amateur warning with a non viable device...or a hoax.
And I bet the busiest and easiest place to stash it was under the escalators near the food places....that doesn't mean it had anything to do with gas. That is just pathetic rumour mongering. You know what it would take to cause an explosion big enough to even get close to the kitchens of the restaurants? Sheesh...the news is just trying to be dramatic as usual.
Yeah...they will get the guy. If it wasn't a test of someone's security that forgot to warn everybody. I still haven't seen them mention the contents...so I reserve judgement. The contents will be easy to analyze. They don't blow up the packages with explosives. They blast them with a shotgun or small controlled blast just big enough to disturb the detonator and/or wiring. Sometimes shotgun, sometimes water blast.
Ok...back to the "sky is falling! the sky is falling!"

As someone who shops at Eastgate I find this whole bomb thing rather disturbing. It doesn't matter to me if it was real or a hoax, it is the fact that someone for whatever reasons took the time, made a plan and planted a case, a bag, or whatever in a busy public area to cause havoc that distrubs me.
