Maximum profit isn't a realistic goal for anyone who is new or for like for 99% of people.

There's different styles of investing/trading. And for max profit you'll probably need to do plenty of research and follow some kind of active trading strategy.

To just learn how everything works get
R8k satrix msci world
And if interested in individual share get 2 that you like for the rest.
But just a etf that covers everything is best.
It's generally less risk or more profit but not both.

I'm looking to move my USD account from EE to TD Ameritrade (I enquired and they allow South Africans).

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm planning top use it to buy and hold US listed stocks.

How did this thing work? When does everyone offload their GME?
The thing is they don't. That is what is crazy. They go on till all the shorters have lost. This could end in tears or a lot of laughter depending at what point people cash out.

So let me see if I have this right, people are purposefully pooling to liquidate all the shorts?

That doesn't make sense. You start by saying that they don't but end with people cashing out. How do they cash out without offloading their stocks?

How are you leaving millions on the table though?

Unless you already have millions. Something about this is just off.
There is no "table" there's just a bubble.

They artificially inflated the price until the short positions are underwater. Now you need to get out before the bubble pops. Most people that bought halfway up would lose. Only those that got in early and got out early won big.

It would be really interesting if WSB can pull this off again with another share. They might now have generated enough hype for the next one to be really huge.

You are going to mess with your lifetime and yearly limits.

If this becomes an actual thing, shorting stocks will require some extra checking to make sure the total number of shorts is not attractive to the meme lords.

Don't fiddle with your TSFA for the memes.
