Potential red flag from EE, they are doing a survey on whether or not to sell insurance on theirs platform.
Seems out of left field. Makes me suspect that their main business isn't doing as well as they expected. Suddenly EE want to sell insurance when their main product isn't fully fleshed out as far as asset classes available to invest in.Yeah, got that via email today. Why would you say it is a red flag? When they are expanding the horizon?
Then again I do not trust any insurance companies, bunch of vultures...
I think I chose the cheapest one at the time, which was the vanguard one..which one there are 7?

This is speculation. Their finances are public and they are starting to do well. They've even had webinars on their finances. You are confusing red flags with broadening their offering and potential earnings.Seems out of left field. Makes me suspect that their main business isn't doing as well as they expected. No one official, but they are pretty active on Twitter / Facebook. Or you can log a ticket on their site. They also have a big FAQ section there. There a Rep on MyBroadband that you can ask EE about Q&A?
That's like saying Vodacom is unsuccessful so that's why they're expanding into VoD. Companies expand, doesn't mean they're not doing well.Seems out of left field. When are EE Tax certificates available for download or do you use your statements to calculate Capital Gains Tax?![]()
How do you calculate and declare CGT when you are a Provisional Taxpayer?Usually from April onwards. But for sure before July (when tax season opens)

The redflag me for is this seems EE lacks focus on their core product and customer base. I was just speculating on what type of logic would make them think about expanding into the insurance marketI think I chose the cheapest one at the time, which was the vanguard one..

Their app definitely needs some work to put it kindly. The redflag me for is this seems EE lacks focus on their core product and customer base.
Well they are a financial company. EE has become a jack of all trades and master of none. The redflag me for is this seems EE lacks focus on their core product and customer base. I was just speculating on what type of logic would make them think about expanding into the insurance market
I really expected them to emulate the success of apps like Robin HoodWell they are a financial company. EE has become a jack of all trades and master of none.
The thing is they don't. That is what is crazy. They go on till all the shorters have lost. This could end in tears or a lot of laughter depending at what point people cash out.

This seems closed for new investment applications now.My TFSA is screwed because of poor decision making when I started it. While I did mostly offshore, I also had a decent percentage of it in Satrix Prop (WHY?). I bought at a high and it's still down around 50%. What gains I would have made have been negated by that.
I did the same thing with a Coreshares Top 50 ETF (WHY again). But it got to a point where I broke even and sold it to pump into Ashburton 1200.
Maybe try now? I'm able to buy. This seems closed for new investment applications now.
will do. Thanks.Maybe try now? I'm able to buy.
