Wealth Manager Warren Ingram investigated EasyEquities, he gives a report on 702's Money Show tonight.
anyone get the livestream to work? http://702.co.za/heard-on-air/
Haven't had a chance to listen yet - anything pertinent?
Had a listen and what worries I had are now no more. At least I now know that the main risk is in the fractional shares that's all.
Any ideas on how to only purchase full shares on their platform? Would be a great feature to add vs the amount that you want to purchase
haven't purchased yet, just signed up, but after reading this thread it seems the only way to is to look what the share price is on the day and purchase that exact Rand amount per share..

You can purchase whole shares only, but not via their website.
You have to phone them to purchase, say 1 share of Naspers.
Not sure if there are any additional costs going this route.
Read the FAQs on their website, that's where I read about buying whole shares.
You'll pay the ruling price for the share at the time of the trade, so it may not be the same price you see on EE (that price is delayed).

would like Romi to confirm this - i have had cases where due to low liquidity i was forced to do phone trades, and i was only charged on some of them. rest was the came costs as the website.
PLEASE NOTE: To buy a specific quantity of whole securities (rather than a Rand value) you need to call the Trading Desk on +27 (0) 87 940 6101 between 09:05am - 16:40pm Monday to Friday (business days) for assistance.

Thanks for the responses. On their fee structure they say that telephone trades are charged at R50 per trade
Yeah, but there are exceptions to that.
Like for example when you want to buy a share not on their website, but that they offer. If I remember correctly from this forum, the guy wasn't charged the telephone trading fee.
We'll have to see what Romi says about the costs of purchasing whole shares via phone.
Why would you want this? What could be done is adding a check box to say round down trade to the nearest whole share.
Because he doesn't want fragments? Why would you want this?
