Eating with a knife and fork

Im Indian and I use a fork 90% of the time. If its a steak I use a knife and fork.

The one thing I hate is when people invite you over for lunch or supper and dont put cutlery on the table.
 
Most things eat with a knife and fork. Burgers, pizza etc. I do eat with my hands when eating straight off a fire though.. wings, etc

Most burgers you get in a restaurant would fall apart if put together and eaten with one's hands?

At home I eat with only me hands unless I have veggies or rice or something... then I use spoon. Out at a restaurant or friends place knife and fork.
 
The basic test of civilsation is whether you properly operate the knife & fork and other table accoutrements when dining alone.

How do you manage to eat meat with only a fork? Do you just suck on it or how do you do it?

Grew up in a small town so was never needed for me to eat with a knife and fork when we went out as all the places were quite relaxed.

At varsity I had to learn (stayed on campus) and I still didn't enjoy it.

I don't see why I should be required to do so if I am not comfy with it, especially since I have a really clumsy left hand.

You guys should be careful. Using a knife in the wrong hand will be the end of civilisation. That's the sort of thing that brought down Rome.

I also use my fork to cut things and it annoys my wife no end, I don't see the problem. :D
