Hey everyone

When was the linkage fee between FNB Credit Card and Ebucks reintroduced? I checked my account this morning and saw the fee in my account, which was a bit strange. I'm positive I didn't pay it last year, and again I'm positive I got an e-mail or a letter in the post stating that they had abolished the linkage fees, but were adjusting your rewards or something to make up for it.

I don't mind all that much that I have to pay it, as I find eBucks useful, but I am a bit puzzled as to when the fee came back.

Anyone shed some light on this?

I remember seeing something about it somewhere.... Think it was recently, about middle of last year.

That's just f*#%*d! I only had it because it was free. Does anybody know how to unlink ebucks or cancel you ebucks account?

Yea - good point.

Am I right in saying they charged - then decided to take the charge away for two years - then added it again?

Strange, don't see the fee in my CC statement. If they have reintroduced it, I'm cancelling as well

I'm leaving FNB Card ... but I do actually prefer them :/

I wanted to see if they'd upgrade me and the branch said they'd motivate me and arrange everything for me. They tried, motivated and called me a few days later and said they couldn't :(

I said its alright and decided to limit increase instead rather, because I'm trying to consoldate my credit cards to one. They told me the upgrade card/limits system are linked - which means I can't get a limit incease for 6 months because I tried the upgrade.

Who's the 2nd best bank? It seems to be Standard Bank. Right?

I went to read on the eBucks website, and it says that you are charged the linkage fee in the anniversary month that you joined. So if you joined during Feb, you are charged in Feb, like I was, though I can't remember when exactly I joined eBucks.

So it seems I'm not the only one who thought that they had gotten rid of linkage.

For 12 months, it works out to like R13 or so a month, which is hardly back breaking, but like I said in my first post, it is strange that they brought it back.
