ECA comes alive

HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE: telecommunications regulator Icasa has finally converted the licences of the incumbent telecoms operators and service providers, effectively breathing life into the Electronic Communications Act (ECA) for the first time.

my word! did icasa actually do something usefull?! whatever that was

This is truely great news, even in the face of the death of Hollywood legend Don Lafontaine , the "Movie preview guy".

Now, can someone borrow me R1 billion, I need to do something with some fibre cables :D

Yay!

I believe that Hell will freeze over and the devil will give free slave right! :D

unbelieveable!! *Orders wisky for Ivy and the gang*

Only the Incumbent Operators ECNS

Only Telkom, Sentech, Neotel, MTN, VodaCom & Cell-C have been converted.

This article actually has major inaccuracies on it. Those of us with VANS licenses are *NOT* still waiting for the court decision, we're waiting for the conversion to I-ECNS, the court case is concluded!

Yeah, this article has been overtaken by events. ICASA must either go back to court, or back to the drawing board.

w.t.f?

are these people actively soliciting litigation?
