Hi

Diabolus (or anyone else)...

I see you guys talk about MTN Edge, pre-paid bundles (R500 for 1GB) etc... where on MTN's website can I find specific info about this?

Thanks
Jacques

um, dude, you do know that this is the vodacom forum, right? ;)

there is a thread about it here, though

Yes I know its Vodacom, but seems like the Vodacom forum's people are more clued-up and they also respond quicker.

I also saw others talking about it here and I was hoping they could help.

but seeing how we're talking about prepaid bundles... *cough*
*looks to see if v3g is around* :p

Hi alchamy,

Yea thanks I found that one... now I just need to find out how you connect the GPRS from phone to your PC... they mention in the T&C you dont do a dial-up, and can still receive calls while connected, which just disconnects and reconnects... but as far as I know, you need to connect via bluetooh, via dial-up... or am I wrong here...

I used a usb-datacable +cellphone and simply dialed-up. Just need to setup your phone. I also did this with infra-red same way [if your phone has it]. As for receiving calls, dunno if it's phone dependend or sometihng, i could receive calls [but if i answer it would disconnect from GPRS].

If you receive a call or sms your data connection is dropped, once the gsm call or sms is complete it reconnects.

Setting up is simple, See Here , written for bluetooth but no different for IRDA or Cable
