AFAIK the EEE PC also has an SD card reader, so you can easily get more gigs that way.

BTW if I'm not mistaken, Incredible Deception was running a special a few days back (and may still be) on the basic Eee PC (2GB model) at around R2.5K. Doesn't get much cheaper than that in SA!
Sorry, correction to my earlier posting, it's in fact HiFi Corp which was advertising this special at R2499 in its last flyer, not Incredible Deception. Might still be on?
IC did have it for R2434 for like a week, but I see that it's back up to R2999 now![]()
The only thing that bothers me is the small screen. . .
You'd think that.... But you really get used to it and when you use your desktop, you get scared and go "why is my moniter bigger?"
Its very clear and readable![]()

I reckon I should get the 4GB then.. rougly 3.5k at PCZ.
Spend another R350 on an 8GB SD card?
If you want. But make sure the SD card is Class 6.
Class 2 and 4 are SLOW
I know this is a bit late but rectron also had these for 1999 ex vat ( 2 gig surf) with the 4gb eepc sdhc card included
