I meant to say that I unplug it as per Geewiz instructions, putting it in a discharging state, and it has not dropped under 13.0V in this state when I connect it back. Other than that in the 12months I have not dropped it to the beeping state. The question is should I even discharge it to any degree or keep it on float 100% of the time? Should it see a bulk state now and then, or is it ideally never?
 
I have the Must PV18-3KW wall mounted version as depicted in the PDF post #35 also bought from Geewiz end of 2019.

I originally wanted the Axpert but this was out of stock at the time - Geewiz sent the Must instead - however it's never giving me a moments trouble, worked straight out the box, no change to the default settings other than to check battery type.

I have 2 x 105amp deep cycle LA (unmatched) batteries in series connected to the Must and so far no loadshedding has been able to run them flat. I run mostly 14w LED lights / 40in LCD tv / media player / samsung inverter fridge freezer - heating & cooking is done with gas or solar.

I installed a CBI Astute smart circuit breaker to drop eskom power, this allows me to cycle the batteries when there is no loadshedding.

Not sure how that would circulate anything in a gel/AGM battery.

If it's been floating for a month, then unplug it for 15 mins then connect it back.

Not only that but lead sulfate crystals literally form against the plates as part of a chemical reaction between Acid and lead. It doesn't float on top cause it mix with air or some such.

Clearly the person that wrote that had no clue how LA's work.
 
For interest sake this is how it looks on a "dead' battery.

Em white is the crystals that block Acid's contact with the plates so reduce electron activity.
 
Its the Pylontech UP2500's, but just costing as much as the Hubble AM-4...

It's payday today, so maybe I can make a plan to buy a lithium battery, if I can find one...
 
Perhaps, I kept thinking the 2.4kw was 24v, but it's 48v weird

Yes, 48V x 50Ah => 2.4kWh...
A bit confusing, yeah, but it's always better to look at the model and spec sheet...
Seems you get two variants of capacity, 100Ah and 50Ah.
The thin bois should be 50Ah, and the thicc bois is most likely 100Ah.

Those Hubblies is on backorder... Until the 1st of Aug, and GeeWiz says until 1st week of Sept.
The Pylies is also on backorder... These stuffs is selling like hot-cakes in ZA, everytime eishkom/huilkom announces load-shedding, everyone panic buys the lithiums...

Seems like my poor ass have to wait until stock becomes available, and hopefully have some dosh for this. Ain't cheap, either...
Another month or two is not going to much difference to the batteries at this rate...

It's not panic buying. More people are getting fed up. A backup system is the first step to self generation.

I'm perfectly fine with my system. Want to add more batteries and I don't mind waiting for stock. The urgency isn't there for me to panic buy as it is for those without a backup system...
