Elden Ring

Installed the game on a new laptop I bought. Plays ok on high settings.
I have played Dark souls 1-3. So this game was very familiar. Itr took some time to come back, but I had gotten used to the swing of things again and the I got stomped by the Tree sentinel haha

Only killed tree sentinel now at level 60, lol.

I would blame the stuttering I had during the first few days on PC,
but he was still a challenge, and I suck at this games bosses.

I suck at this game, trying to out-level them at this point. A great game though. Pity about the stutters and crashes I am experiencing.

What level are you guys and playtime?

Feels like taking forever to get nowhere level 50 at 14 Hours. Still having my ASS handed to me by random enemy.
Have not played the precious souls games, but this is just ridiculous.

Check this video if you want to get strong early on. I used the guide to get my weapons to +9 today by going to a cave with lots of smithing stones and an item that makes the vendor also sell them. Also there's a bit about where to farm xp easily. There's a place on the top right of the map with little guys that give over 1k xp each per kill and you can get there at the start with a shortcut. Didn't do the other stuff in the video though. Just wanted to improve my weapons.

I think using a guide to get those smithing stones available in the shop early is fine as the progression isn't linear. So you might never stumble upon the item that lets you buy the lower level stones from the shop. This lets you try out a bunch more weapons because you can at least get anything to +6 easily.

Interesting to see how popular ER seems to be, the numbers are very impressive for a 'niche' title.

Just looking at Steamcharts there are ±800k current players, crazy.

The last time I check the sub count for /r/Eldenring it was ±500k, a day or two later it's at ±630k.

Viewers twitch for a title is also a good measurement especially drop-off rate.

The CE is beautiful

There’s still the art book, post cards, a poster, a patch, the OST code, and the steel case

I'm currently level 82 and just killed
Redahn
, what a cool fight, some tries went real bad when he dismounted and absolutely hammer fkd me lol.

I've been running a STR/FTH build for most of the time but switched now to a DEX/FTH build and using the Winged Scythe actually eats bosses, especially when the blood loss buildup explodes.

Continuing now with
Ranni's quest
but taking my sweet time, I don't want this first play through to end :(

Radahn
was a hell of a fight. Very different to all the rest so far and not one you can simply barge into.

I too made a big changeup using a respec finally. Change from primarly Dex to primarily Int build for my Samurai using a particular magic scaling katana and some talismans and gear to reduce FP use/add FP gen. My weapon art can be spammed around 10-12 times in a row in fairly rapid succession and makes short work of pretty much anything. Definitely a bit OP and sure to be nerfed due to PvP concerns.

Just hit level 85 and am making my way through the huge
Capital

I am now level 125, 103 hours into the game now. I haven't finished it yet, but I am close, trying to do everything I can.

Litterally just roaming around looking for caves / dungeon. Went from bleed / arcane build, was to OP for me that I started relying to much on the bleed, so I moved to faith build now which is still strong but actually need to think before doing stuff now.

What a masterpiece of a game, the lore, combat and the open world is just "chef kiss". Hope everyone enjoying as much as I am.

I decided to start another build. Pure mage was decent and katana bleed/poison also worked well. Trying out the most OP weapon right now. Sword of Night and Flame. Can get it right at the start of the game if you know where to go. Just need to grind out a few levels quickly for the stat point requirements. 12 str, 12 dex, 24 int, 24 faith.

It has two weapon arts which are both insanely strong. One is a Kamehameha attack and the other a massive aoe fire attack. I got this weapon at the start and killed the tree sentinel in the starting area with it in just 2 hits of the kamehameha. Going to be a fun playthrough. The weapon does have a flaw though. It misses easily if the enemy is not on flat ground at the same level as you. So you need to be able to deal damage another way in those situations. Otherwise it's insane. I'm using it in one hand with a staff in another. So I have access to the two weapon arts plus a spell at all times.

Did anyone order the xbox version from raru?
(I know raru is a terrible shop, but i took a chance, and will wait the 6 weeks for a refund, just wondering if there is a new ETA since it was suppose to be shipped yesterday).

3 endings down. A few more to go

First game I've gotten all achievements in on Steam

Busy with my 4th playthrough to get the other endings, and studying the speedrun route so I can start with that too
