Elden Ring

So a very noob like battle. I decided to record one of mine.

Mostly just panicking
Why the squid summon?

From my experience in that range the wolves are better (stagger), but for more tankyness you can always go with Lhutel the Headless.

There is also the Banished Knight Oleg, Radahn Soldiers, Black Knife Tiche and Greatshield Soldier. If you are running a decent setup then you can also play around with the mimic tear, but if your build suck that would suck also.

Just to aggro him so I can get 3 big hits in. I'm gonna go get another summon now. As I said. I'm a noob and there will be no end to "you should have done this" hahhaaa. I learn as I go

Cool, I'm asking because I also ran the squid with my rot/bleed which was fine in the beginning until I realized it is probably better to go with something like Lhutel the Headless. The rest I mentioned are summons I saw fightingcowboy use in-between as per situation/fight. I guess this is true if you have a caster and need a tank or shield wall. haha,.

Some of them do so, I've just re-specced my str only to be more accommodating of what is coming and be more versatile. Basically 100 FP is 17 mind** I think, so personally I would only add enough mind to be able to cast a few summons. You can always carry 2 or 3 fp potions to be able to use weapon skills and at least 1x summons.

You can use something like this for calculations

I can even add your gear to see things like attack rating (AR) or your equipment load

**I might have had something on that boosted it looking at the build calculator

edit
I guess this might be useful, there is a few, so this is one of them

There is also

Malenia, Blade of Miquella was harder with a melee build vs my breath and bleed. I can understandable see why people are calling or her healing to be scaled down a bit and in that I can agree. Not 100% maybe start with 25% and see how it goes. Nonetheless I did kill her but with Maliketh's Black Bade on myself and my clone. Which brings me to my next point; she seems "unkillable" using basic methods and you have to add in some form of magic and/or stagger. I mean with shield crash + frostbite I'm already spam-staggering her, but damage not enough even with my clone on a colossal or dual colossal. In any case, she is ded and that is that after about 20 tries on my melee char.

I must admit I struggled with her on my first playthrough using a DEX/INT build with shield and Moonveil. Eventually resorting to getting the Black Knife Tiche ash and fully upgrading it, changing a few things on my Physick flask and buffing with Flame Grant Me Strength. She was the only boss that made me change things up significantly.

On my 2nd (new rolled character) dual wielding STR and FTH scaling greatswords I brought her down without too much hassle without relying on stunning or needing any temporary buffs. Mostly used the jump attack following up with L1 and then backing off again and firing the L2 from the Blasphemous Blade. The total damage was enough to sap her health faster than she could regenerate. I regret using the clone for the fight. Really should have tried to solo her. Maybe on my 3rd play-through :D

Just finished it with my mostly str colossal build. Think I may take a break after about 290 hours of game play, or jump right into my caster build

Completed my first run in 50 hours with a dual wield bleed set of Rivers of Blood(cause it pretty) and Nagakiba(for range), of which Nagakiba had the active skill with Seppuku.
RoB's Corpse Piler was a little too strong and made fights uninteresting, but bleed buffs with Seppuku is much more fun.

Only have to kill the two ancient dragons to complete all remembrances and killed all major bosses.

Then New Game + with sorcery cheese, cause I want to try easy mode.

Then NG+2 with meme build for fun.

Yet you wanted more easy cheese modes

That's why I avoided using its skill? I like it cause it katana and it red, simply enough. And normal attacks with a Seppuku buff trigger more than enough bleed and it's satisfying to watch.

And anyway, sorcery is still the easier way to go.
