Elden Ring

Preparations for end game complete. Now to start the approach

/lewks at Maliketh.

After this run... the only other run I'm going to try is endless coop mod with SO.

The beast is dead and it only took three attempts this time. Fait/int was an interesting playthrough even though you only get more powerful mid to late game.

// hangs up the elden-coat (for now)

I also just finished Elden Ring! Best game I've ever played. Loved every bit of it. Took 189 hours and as far as I know I did everything and killed every boss except I haven't done NG+.... Yet.

Will tackle that in the future though. For now I'll play a couple of short games.

The seemless coop mod makes it feel quite nice not being raped every 1-5 mins*. Perhaps FromSoft should have at least put a cap on the invasions at every 30 to 60 odd minutes, or once per area segment / rest. In anycase the mod is quite simple to install, but has a few issues like when you rest and you are the host you can't exit melina's speeches and are kinda stuck. The game didn't magically feel easier just because we are now two players, besides you can't use spirit ashes when in seemless coop mode. Of course this could have been implemented at origin, but the beta mod is here now. So time will tell where this goes (or not).

*Go watch fighting cowboy's coop play-through if you haven't had your share and fail to see the point.

I was there when doom dropped. I played super Mario 3 in a single sitting as you can't save. I did 1200 hrs in battlefield 2. I'm a massive Witcher 3 fan... and suddenly elden ring is in my top 5 of all time.

Praise the dog

But what to play after The Elden Ring

I've settled on Sekiro (main) and Gloomhaven (alt) for now anyways. Haven't finished up Sekiro so... Time To Die.

I was thinking maybe I should try to plat Sekiro

But then Cyberpunk was on special so might as well have another go at it, the PS5 version at least. As much as I love Sekiro (best FS game) I can only do FromSoft in stages.

every time I finish a from software game, I feel there is no other game worth it/satisfy me.
since I platinumed Elden ring I didn't start playing any game.
but thinking about trying cyberpunk now

I really enjoyed it. Ignore the memes, it's well patched now. Go mad with a gun style you like and enjoy the ride.

So only around 7 hours in and game seems FromSoftie lol.
Never know wtf I'm supposed to be doing half the time and had to restart after my Wretched was getting recked and wasn't as yet comfortable with the game.

Going to be going with a Arcane/Dex Samurai build and see where it takes me.

On leave for a couple days also so wish me luck

With my limited time/knowledge I admit to using a few guides to point me in the right direction. took me 10 hrs to get "comfortable" I got through most of the game on my samurai build (not OP ROB until much later). Just make sure to explore the south completely and only goto the castle once you comfortable. Caelid (red area on the right) is more Mid game area.

I've been farming Caelid and killing those short guys to level up. Sneaking behind them and then trying my luck.

I'll try a guide if I reach 15 hours if I'm still lost.

I might start playing again - stopped just after reaching the peninsular (you're still far from there) due to other things competing for my time.
