Elden Ring

Getting there :) Level 1 wretch.

Bullshit, I'm sure there was tampering involved.
I was struggling my ass off this weekend with that boss.

The amount of damage done per strike is too much. how would a level 1 have enough stats to even get a weapon that can do that much damage.
And the black maliketh is way too tame, he should be going into combos:

Ok I was going to do a lol response but changed my mind. You calling BS and I guess there's not much I can say to prove otherwise. You can come over and watch me try again. A few points to note after watching your video:

1) I'm using utchi. Any level can wield that
2) it's cold affinities with inate bleed. So I proc both giving the massive damage.
3) other than one jump attack. I don't use R1 or R2 once. As it's miniscule damage. I only used the ash of war.
4)unsheath is one of the most powerful poise breaking ashes. Poise damage with this ash doesn't change if you lvl 1 or lvl 100
5) I also have a stonebarb cracked tear to increase poise damage and warrior jar shard to increase ash of war damage
6) I maintain pressure so his poise and bleed meter does not drop
7) on each stun I proc bleed and then frost. Proccing status effects is percentage based. So if I'm lvl 1 or level 100. It's the same
8) my utchi is lvl 25. Weapon level means more than stats.
9) with radagon soreseal I get +5 per stat. I can use godrick great rune but don't have arcs
10) Maliketh opened with the big combo btw. I will get oneshotted so I use the pillar to space him for the first part, and run the second part. If you stay under his telegraphed attacks you can quickly punish him. Everything he does is Dodgeable

In a nutshell. Other than the raw damage I deal. Someone with a level 100 character will do THE EXACT same poise and proc damage.

You don't do that much damage as katanas are fast, but you only do high dps with repeated hits. You going in hitting lightly once in a while. You can't expect a stun or a proc.

Use it don't use it. I could have gotten rude or joked. But I got lots of hrs. And I struggled first playthrough. I didn't understand poise and percentage based procs.

@nazmo bra you could have just said I suck.

Did you aim for the items you have specifically or get them playing genericly?

I went the INT route and let the spirit ashes keep them busy and spam them from a distance.

There are times when he moves and I try to refocus on him (being visible) and my character would just do the 180. Eventually I got tired of that and just loaded a mod.

The only other boss I struggled with a long time was astel.

No you don't. You should see my first few playthroughs. Even though I beat him level 1. I have 4 playthroughs under my belt, each one harder than the last. I took like 100 tries on this run too. I watched challenge runners for a while now so learnt a bit.

Int is easy except bosses that move alot and fast. First playthrough I beat him with rivers of blood and mimic before they nerfed it. That was super cheesy

so for this build the items/talismans/buffs are extremely specific, as you need to have the best possible build with limited resources. on my casual playthroughs i dont pay nearly the same attention.

Just an FYI, I dont recommend Radagon Soreseal if you higher than level 75, simply as it makes you take more damange and the gains are negligable

i kept no track of the best items, I just played "the story", except for the glintsone staff.
but omg the amount of money i lost which could have been upgrades

Screenshot your build. If you don't mind

It is done. Rune Level 1 run!

Flip, very nice, amazing that you never once panic roll

So you basically have to no-hit every boss?

I assume there is no Malenia as she is "optional"?

thanks man
no i didnt no hit every boss. some bosses i had the bubble tear that let me tank one hit and some earlier bosses i can take one hit.

and yeah. im not doing malenia lol. im starting my DLC character. and i died like 60 times to elden beast so there was lots of panic

Can't wait for this. I was still busy with a NG+ run so I should probably progress that to the point where you can access the DLC zone:

To access the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you must defeat Starscourge Radahn, before beating Mohg, Lord of Blood in the optional Mohgwyn Palace area. Once you’ve defeated Mohg, touch his cocoon to teleport to the new area in the DLC.

Not sure if that's confirmed yet though?
