Ellies AV sender

Only problem with something like this is that is uses the 2.4GHZ frequency range. Which is one of the most used and heavily congested.

For example maybe you have a 802.11b wireless network at home?
Even Microwaves and Flourecent*spelling* lights can affect devices on 2.4GHZ range.

At the moment my personal feeling is that nothing beats a good old proper cable.

Hi Kaspaas

I am using them. Their reach not too great in my experience, but it does make it easy to view movies from your PC on your TV. I have 2 thick walls between my PC and my TV, and it generally works well. It can sometimes be prone to interference, but on the whole it was a nice investment to limit the need to run cables. I certainly think it is well worth a try.

switch on a microwave oven and watch them go funny.

get the same coax as what they use on your dstv dish. Its a much nigher specced cable and signal losses will be lots less. Also, you can run the remote control over coax, but not RCA ( i think )

They're worth it to me. Quite a distance between the 2 units and a wall inbetween but perfect reception (except if the microwave's running as previous posters have mentioned)

I'm looking at laying a cable between the 2 TVs. Not because of bad reception, simply the distance. It's about 30m at a rough guess. Only problem I have with that is that it's sometimes difficult to change channels.
