Is it possible to send and receive email from my Telkom account while using a different ISP?

Currently on Digichilli() but I'd like to use my Telkom work email without having to change back to Telkom acc.

I think you need to use DC's smtp server, but I don't know what it is, search the DC threads or contact them. Someone else miay post it up.

Ahh, I thought I had to use the telkom one. Thank you.

Off to test smtp.digichilli.com

Updated: We do not relay

My advice, don't use an SP's email account, get gmail. You will never look back or need to change again. But ja, just my opinion.

My personal email is gmail. Work email which was given to me is telkom :(

On other news apparently using smtp saix works. Will check and update for future searches :)

You could maybe set the Telkom account to forward everything to gmail, and set your gmail accounts to send email from another address. Not sure exactly how that works though.

Maybe your business wants control over your comms though.

No, you setup gmail to collect email from your isps pop. After a while you will never need another isp email address again.

I've had to "ween" alot of clients that were trapped into isp email address's off those address to gmail like mentioned above. Excellent feature.

I see that TelkomInternet has a web login page for e-mail: msg.do.co.za
