Emburst is a company that is direct opposition to Iburst and Telkom.

We offer 512 speeds and our minimum uncapped package is for home use at R550
per month. We are now looking at a 1024 line uncapped at R950 for home use
only.

Once you get to your 3gig it becomes a hard cap. Our wireless technology is based on the 2.4 and 5.8 spec.

Erm, am i reading right? Uncapped hard capped at 3 gigs?

- 12 month contract : 350 3GB Capped, 550 Uncapped.

Pay for modem in contract:
- 12 month contract : 650 3GB Capped, 950 Uncapped.

LAWL .. why is the modem more expensive on an uncapped contract? R400 vs R300?

It's on their site, and you'd know if it was iBurst because the company would have to license them.

WISP = Wireless ISP.

Coverage on their site, LOS preferable with WiFi, not sure how well it works without LOS.

Signing up for Emburst

This is my first post.

Currently I am using Mtn gprs to connect to the internet. We are in an area that has no ADSL or 3 G or Iburst niks nadda.

Once I get the emburst installed, will put it through its paces and post my findings here.
