England 2018 bid defeated

Looking at the temp figures on wikipedia, Qatar has an average high temperature of 41 and 46 degrees celcius in June and July and average low of 27 and 29 respectively. Poor football players.
 
So it's Russia. England seem like they'll never land it. Got the olympics, but I think it's second prize to the soccer world cup.

So Russia might be a gr8 destination for holiday and some footie :D

Do u even know anything about Qatar? I lived there for 3 years, worked at the Asian games and other major sporting events there. That country will live World Cup for the next 12 years. They have the resources and more than enough will power to pull off an amazing world cup. The atmosphere there will be exponentially better than the US.

I lived there for years. Hosting in june there is defnitly not ideal. I use to play golf and rugby there, the temp goes above 50 most of the time. They just dont report it like that, since local laws state that u cant have builders and workers working outside when temp is above a certain temperature :D

That being said, they are prepared for this and have the resources to handle it. Playing in the high heat with high humidity was not much worse than the african sun.

I was in Dubai in August this year and it got well over 50'C. Will all the stadiums be enclosed? I also wasn't allowed to hold my girlfriend's hand while I was there. Good luck to them enforcing that law during the world cup :p

Lol, they wont be bothered about it during the world cup. They have their traditions there, but most of the people in the country are expats. It has its problems, but in my experience there the rest of the world could learn a lot from Qatar`s mixed community and how the different cultures gets along. I woudnt go around making out in malls, but on the beaches every1 wears bikini`s and live like normal. The arab women who want to wear their traditional clothes and the western women wear what they want. Running around in the souqs in a mini skirt would probably get a bit of complains from the older generation arabs and the police might ask u to put more clothes on :)

Since Moscow is in the Asian part of Russia, Russia is classified as an Asian country more than European
