Two bits of information after 25 overs are exceptionally troubling:

England RR 7.64
Last 5 ovs 53/0 RR 10.60

Convention usually says that provided you have wickets in hand, you can double your score at 30 overs. Well, England have 8 in hand with some big hitters to come on a batting paradise against an ordinary attack. 400+ well and truly on here...

I'll let you know after this innings :(

I was planning to leave early to watch...last time I did that, the Wanderers test happened

Morris will bowl at the end and who else? Morkel for a couple? Looks not good for us.

Morkel and Tahir are the best bowlers by economy rate and have identical figures at the mo: 8-0-48-1

Edit: desperate times call for desperate measures... throw the ball to JP

De Lange continues to impress...44 of the 58 runs he's conceded have come in boundaries (7-0-58-1).

If he bowled even half the number of bad balls, those figures could be decent.

Jos Buttler is having his way with the bowlers; an unsavoury, abominable way :/

Sailen thinks this is a done deal: "My prediction is England win by 200 runs. if you look at SA's recent record chasing more than 260. it is abysmal..."

:crying:

De Lange might not play for SA again with this performance.

The plan to rest KG and Morkel is gonna hurt us this series. Maybe we should secure the series first and then they can rest

Meh. It's an ODI series. I care more about the frequency of my bowel movements.

Other than Stokes, Ali and Jordan I haven't seen much of this England attack. Reasons to be worried from those that know about them?

Toppley is accurate medium fast...should be able to get on top off him on this pitch. Willey I've seen in BBL - can be got at also. Rashid is a leggie - might be decent on here.

All in all, their attack can go the same way as ours in terms of getting smacked around.

Home in time for the chase to start. Dinner, glass of whiskey and hopefully AB and QDK 100's (we're going to need them!).
