England vs Algeria

When Ronaldo left Manchester United, people seemed to have forgoten about him.

Maybe because they only watch the EPL. I hate Ronaldo, he is a twat but he is one of the best footballers in the world. Much better than Rooney.
 
But is that comparision Ronaldo & Rooney club level? National team level I recall Ronaldo has had a dry spell for a long time, while Rooney lead the goals for qualification.
I also stand to be corrected

Why does ppl go on roooney. he is overrated and can only play in the epl.he looks pretty average in the games he have played so far.gets to much respect from everyone. you don't see brazil goes on a about ***a and argentina about messi. those teams plays as a unit. i also think that capello is not the right coach for england. he is another benitez, defensive and play players out of their positions. capello is making the same mistakes as mclaren and ericksson by playing star names instead of playing you form players and the right combinations to the strengh of the team.

Erm, you are aware that Rooney scored the most goals in the WC qualifying?
 
yes, but if he is out of form or injured we should not focus on rooney, but on team. you can have rooney the lone striker and gerrard playing a free role as a second striker. barry and lampard in the middle behind gerrard and then your 2 wingers.

No I understand fully what you are saying. In essence England the other night said Rooney can get them to the second round and I was thinking "wtf?" because that was the feeling from the English squad. I mean England should believe in all 11 players and they in themselves not all just pin hopes on Rooney.

That being said, if Rooney is having a good day at the office it's breath taking. But it hasn't happened in any WC yet :(
 
Rooney had the gall to fly off at the supporters for their "lack of loyalty"...he needs to realise that some of these working class guys spent 5,000 pound to come and see multi millionnaires play worse than someone on the local park.

Also, apparently a mad , deranged fan got into their dressing room giving the players a serve. Police are looking for a 64 yo by the name of Capello
 
Roonie is never firing when England need him the most. Quite frankly, he's an @rse and maybe it's time for the coaching staff to look past the reputation and see what the player is really all about.
