English dominance broken

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind they would win. With Barcelona they can hurt you from almost any position.

Also important to note that it took an amazing Chelsea team to curb Barcelona. Even then they still looked the lesser team over the two legs. Booting the ball up field in the hopes that their foward will do something with it.

Based on finally scraping though ON AWAY GOALS after not scoring over 6 hours of football against United and Chelsea? Erm, no.
 
You know what is funny. The United boys dont give Barca the respect they deserve. There are alot of users on this foum that i enjoy a good banter with and it is clear they like Barca, the way they play.

You seem to think that they are not good enough. You seem to think Chelsea were the better side.

How can you think Chelsea were better? They had 29% possession had the strongest of all advantages by having 11 men against 10 men AND still they could not cope with the Barca attack.

They camped 10 players in the box and hoped that they could keep clearing their lines. They had no intention of winning the game. They wanted to sit back and try to defend.

The better team went through. Maybe when Barca crush United in Rome your tune will change.

LOL, I used to like Barca. I don't watch them enough to say much more than what I have seen in the games I have watched.

They were lucky in the 2nd leg - a lot of decisions went there way - two clear penalties at the very least.

I hate they way that you and your friend hype them up - and so does the media. Best attacking team in the world, best team in the world....And yet you cannot score at all when someone actually plays with defenders against you.

And your blind hatred of Man United is not helping the issue.

What are you going on about HYPE? They ARE the best attacking team in the world.

So lets get this straight. Bayern Munich, Lyon, Real Madrid, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Villerreal (the same team United could not beat over two legs), Sevilla never had defenders?

Dont hate on the above teams because they tried to play football. They attempted to score against Barca.

Chelsea played anti-football, negative football, camp 10 players in the box football.

The whole world looked at Chelsea and thought, ''Why are they playing like this?''

You know why? It was because they were scared. They were scared that if they tried to play an open game they would go home with a 5 - 0 hiding. I must admit i am relishing the 27th of May purely to see Man United (the power house in England) camp 10 players in the box.

You only see the top 4 English team defend like that once a year. When they play Barcelona. Dont be jealous that the English cannot match Barca pound for pound. They NEED to play that way to stand a chance of beating the La Liga champions.

Chelsea were two minutes and a better referee away from beating Barca 1-0 over two legs for the 2nd time in two years. That is what I mean by the inability to adapt.

If United win 1-0 on the 27th, I am sure you will be moaning about the same things. At the end of the day, it is winning that counts (something I am sure you are well aware of given the nature of your 'victory' against Chelsea).

'The best attacking team in the world' should be able to score more than ZERO goals in 6 hours of Champions League football, no matter how the opposition choose to play.

A better referee would have given Henry's penalty in the first leg. So stop moaning and complaining. The better team went through.

United have a tougher task on their hands when they play Barcelona. Maybe thats why you so bitter.

I see. So Barca are only the best team now all of a sudden and because of that they deserve to go through?

Seeing the ease with which we countered Barca's one and only tactic last season (all-out attack), over two games, I am not sure why you think I would be worried about having to do the same again, but only in one game this time around?

United played and looked identical to Chelsea.

Chelsea are better and more disciplined in defence than United.
 
So do you base all your trust in what happened a year ago?

Does that mean that whenever the two teams meet because United won last year they will always win?

What has changed since then, oh smart one? Apart from United getting better in defence and Barca getting even more attacking?
