Enough is Enough MTNess)emptyness)

Yeah, I can't go into the legalities of what you do because I don't know enough about it, but the chap who gave you the phone to repair got more than fairly subsidized, hence the network lock. I'm sorry, but I don't see how this is MTN's fault.
Isn't it illegal for networks to network lock phones in South Africa?

its mtn fault that they do not contact me or help me with this.I read a post that was posted years ago on mybb and mtn actually do give the code.
I never had a problem with vodacom,Vodacom was extremely helpful last time and send the code to me via email.I cant say the same for mtn.Telkom also helpful with network locked.
ITs MTN and they just not interested.I did not want to do this but i am going into a mtn store and ask them to fix it, the unlock is supposed to only last a year, after that year they must unlock it.

That sounds like a good plan actually, the gent did mention that the phone was old, so chances are the 12 month period has indeed been reached. Could you share what happens with us?

3. The Offer

3.1 The MTN Dual SIM Locked Device offering allows customers to purchase any Dual SIM locked device on the network.

3.2 The device will be locked on MTN's network for a period of 12 months

3.3 Customers can purchase an unlock code after 12 months charged at a fee of R100.

Do what I do call their sales apartment and ask them to refer you the correct department.

Vodacom did not charge me on the tablet for network unlock and the same with telkom never charged..Why in the name of all things good is mtn doing this.
