EPL 2011 Summer Transfers

Well to a point they won't however now that they've secured a place in CPL football, they'll have a huge injection of revenue (particularly from TV rights) which will help them "balance" their books more along the lines with UEFA's requirements (I think the new rules will allow clubs to register losses of about 40 million pounds).

Last time I checked City's Wage Bill was more than their turnover. Its going to take more than Champs League money to balance those books. Add to that the increasing amorisation of transfer fees and it will take them a couple of years of no spending to work that off.

Maybe's:

Gael Clichy from Arsenal to Liverpool
Jose Enrique from Newcastle to Liverpool
Paul Konchesky from Liverpool to Newcastle
Juan Mata from Valencia to either Liverpool or Man United
Ashley Young from Aston Villa to either Liverpool or Man United
Stewart Downing from Aston Villa to Liverpool
Kevin de Bryne from Racing Genk (Belgium) to either Liverpool or Man City
Aaron Lennon from Spurs to Liverpool

I agree with that as Neymar looks like a bit of a balotelli-esque kinda guy. Lukaku would also be perfect for EPL and come in as direct replacement for Drogba.

So looking at this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ts-doubt-Europe-revealing-hes-set-father.html - seems like Neymar is already having a kid :0 This lad seems to be intent on out-doing Balotelli for most talented young pr!ck in football :D I seriously hope Chelsea pass on him now and go for Lukaku! Romelu is a better prospect for the EPL because of his mentality as well technical and physical attributes. Its a hard league and I can see Neymar throwing his toys out of the cot often! Maybe this kid will help him grow up and stay in Brazil until he's ready! Then when he matures we can go for him again like when he's 21 or so :)

Cesc must just move to Barca - such a tiresome story. Like the Ronaldo/Madrid. I don't where he's going to play though! Does he not remember that he played most of the WC on the bench!?

I can't see United going for Young as he's not a natural left footed player but it's a benefit that he plays both sides.

well right now we have Lindgaard.

De Gea I don't think his got the same exp as Stekelenburg

oh you left out Reina :D

Pffft Reina :p

Yeah I'd prefer Stekelenburg as well. Has played in the world cup etc. etc. Plus he's Dutch and Dutch players always do pretty well at United.

Reina sucks ballas but he was rumoured to take over from VDS

Biggest move of the summer!

Fernando Torres to.....whoever will take him

Marin, who is known as the "German Messi", is regarded as one of the best young players in Europe.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs after impressing for club and country over the last 18 months.

Marin shone in this season's UEFA Champions League and he has also caught the attention of Tottenham after starring against Harry Redknapp's side in Europe.
Aware

Liverpool are in the market for attacking reinforcements and talented playmaker Marin fits the bill to the type of exciting young signings that the club's owners Fenway Sports Group want to bring to Anfield.

Marin, who is under contract at Bremen until 2013, claims he is aware of interest from Liverpool, but that he is focusing on life at Bremen.

"Yes, I am aware of it (the interest from Liverpool FC)," Marin told Bild. "However I am just keeping my focus on Werder Bremen.

"We had a very difficult time this season and it was a struggle, of course, I still like being at Werder Bremen. I suppose we are out to play a better campaign next term."

this kid is excellent. this would be a signing of intent from the owners as opposed to the supposed confirmed freebie singing of French nobody Sylvan Marveaux

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has announced that an agreement has been reached for the signing of Manuel Neuer from Schalke, but says official confirmation will come when Schalke are ready.

The Germany international will reportedly join the Bavarians for a fee of 15million euros, with more instalments owing depending on success, but the move can only be ratified when the Gelsenkirchen club see fit.

"Our board have reached an agreement with Schalke in negotiations and it is just a psychological question of whether they want to announce it before the cup final or afterwards," Hoeness told Sky television.

Neuer has already announced that he will not be extending his contract with the Royal Blues beyond 2012 and Bayern's offer has been on the table for some time now.

Representatives from both clubs met in Berlin last week and a deal is believed to have been struck, but Schalke appear to want to end the season before speaking out on their keeper's future.

But Hoeness has beaten them to it by announcing the transfer of the Germany number one, who will seemingly now play his last game for Schalke in the DFB-Pokal final against Duisburg next weekend.

So over the Weekend it was confirmed that West Ham is going down. Seems their was a little bust up between fans and players last night at a gala dinner. By all reports West Ham will be selling some players. Scott Parker is usefull in midfield, am I missing somebody else that might be a target for bigger clubs?
