Eskom could be approaching a total collapse

Hang on so let me get this straight. Your idea is that the best course of action is to plunge millions of South Africans into extreme poverty who are at the bottom end of society so that some money gets distributed to invest into some electricity infrastructure so that you aren’t inconvenienced by load shedding? That’s your plan? Sounds like a dangerous idea to me…it’s as if you’re actually trying to provoke a civil conflict of some kind. Sheesh
Sheesh, I think you'll never get it. Always trying to put the cart before the horse.

The one of the many dangerous ideas I see is telling people to have children so they can get access to grant money. Need more money? Have another child. What utter lunacy.

Nevermind the cost of living that has increased exponentially thanks to this useless government.

1994 R3.50 to the dollar
2021 R14.90 to the dollar

Sounds to me like someone would rather whine and complain about things rather than try to be part of a solution. Finger pointing and calling people names is definitely easier than applying yourself.
Okay lets do it, where exactly shall we burn the tyres and toyi-toyi?

Your response is the Absolute Perfect knee-jerk reaction.

There is no best course of action. That option was slowly but surely and very deliberately stolen off the table, with every corrupt deal and billion rand that got funneled into private bank accounts, every incompetent cadre that got appointed and mismanaged projects into the ground, every BEE transaction that added 150% cost over the top, every minister and deputy-assistant-acting-director-general that funneled billions to his niece, and zero consequences.

You casually refer to this as "some electricity infrastructure". You simply don't get it. A collapsed grid, means SA is a failed state. Not "failing", but "failed". And not hypothetically, but in fact. The options have run out. If we keep on the current path, what will be left is: zero. Let's be clear about that, and repeat it: Zero. Nothing BUT extreme poverty, because there will be no economy. That means there will be no social grants. Same outcome.

Is that YOUR plan? Sounds like a dangerous idea to me. it’s as if you’re actually trying to provoke a civil conflict of some kind. Sheesh

Why don't you stop whining about the whiners and apply yourself by dropping that solution for peer review genius?

You don't have one..

Like the rest of this generation you've allowed yourself to be captured and strangled by the very politicians that's suffocating the life out of you and this country.

You lot don't have the strength of your convictions to vote against your own government like we did. Wake up and smell the poverty, best enoy what you brought upon yourself, and us..

In the future every South African will have a generator, solar panel and rechargeable batteries.

Screw Eskom, their incompetence is costing us major financial losses.

Power station Managers at underperforming stations are to get a salary cut as per De Ruyter

Just so sad that many of us "simple consumers" have planned and invested better than Eskom... I've had zero load shedding for the last few years now with my solar/battery system. It has been worth every hard-earned penny I put into it. Originally it was intended to just save some money off electricity usage, but it has really earned it's keep by keeping the lights, TV's, pumps, computers, fridge, etc on during all this uncertainty. In a way, these home installations also reduce the load on Eskom, and I cannot understand why there are not proper incentives or zero-rated loans for people to install them. I had to borrow out of my own home loan to install it.

Things are NOT looking good for the ANC Government. They have no one else to blame but themselves. They thought they could 'tell' the Universe what to do via BEE and AA and here we are now, they literally fcucked it all up AND they are clueless as to how they landed up at this point.

I'll say it again: The Universe does not give a flying fcuck who you are, what the colour of your skin is, what your gender is, what your status is, etc - if you choose to ignore it's unwritten rules you WILL pay...good luck

Due to climate change, the ANC is supporting electric cars now. How the hell are they going to charge it if there is no power. Lol.

Electric cars? No dude. In Wakanda we will have flying cars!

Cyril's busy building it as we speak

We're also getting a high speed rail network and a smart city. Just vote ANC like Cyril says else the power will never be restored and no high speed rail for us.

Someone earlier touched on this very lightly, but what are your opinions on whether this is sabotage? De Ruyter is stamping out under performing manager, and other corruption. What if they are trying to hurt his plan enough for him to be fired?

A pay cut does not equal "stamping out". I hope it is sabotage so they can go to jail, but we live in a country where we can't investigate for ****.
