Eskom could be approaching a total collapse

Each man for himself. By now you should be prepared to generate your own electricity. The national grid will collapse. It is just a matter of time, all thanks to AA and BEE. If you are reliant on electricity and have not prepared yourself, then unfortunately you will have to suffer.

Well Mike, you were "at" Eskom from 2014 to make a difference as an advisor..

Rather than saying its near collapse, what did you do from 2014 till whenever to actually make a difference or did you just collect a paycheck and suck your thumb? Also as an "Energy Thought Leader" what should Eskom be doing now?

Nah, that would require a fat consulting fee...

Nah, that would require a fat consulting fee...

Ahhh true...

Gotta claim that consulting fee rather than actually doing something good with his experience and save his country from this proclaimed collapse he has now prophesied

Any person who still think Eskom can be saved and will be saved, and will provide 60m+ people with electricity, you have to be utterly naive. The collapse can no longer be stopped, no matter what anyone does. The collapse is imminent and will happen.

Meanwhile on a Golf course somewhere the leaders are enjoying a round with some drinks, while their homes have fully redundant power being key places of residence...

He keeps mentioning "what needs to be done" but doesn't actually say what that is.

So what needs to be done?

Affrimative Action and BEE scrapped.
Exclude Eskom from all labour laws or scrap the laws.

We all know what needs to be done, but even this will not save Eskom. The damage has been done and cannot be reversed. They can start afresh, however, but will need many, many decades to build up to this point again.

Do you have some references to those?
