We all know what needs to be done, but even this will not save Eskom. The damage has been done and cannot be reversed. They can start afresh, however, but will need many, many decades to build up to this point again.

I actually think you probably have no idea what really needs to be done to "save" Eskom.. or alleviate the power issues in this country.

BEE/AA elimination may be a medium term/long term assist, but it won't solve Eskom.. neither will scrapping labour laws for them.

Like I mentioned, there is no way to alleviate the power issues, no matter what is being done. The damage has been done.

But, on the other hand, I cannot help but wonder why they would ever have appointed De Ruyter into that position, that while ToxicBunny and all the other clever folk right here on MyBB has the solution to solve the issues......

Actually there are many ways to alleviate the power issue, but no none of them are miracle short term fixes.

And unlike the doom sayer World is Ending world that you live in, I am pragmatic enough to know that some things are changing for the better, and others are getting worse... it will largely depend on how things play out over time. De Ruyter cannot be expected to fix the problem overnight, or single handedly.

so lets hear it, whats a quick fix? powerships? turning Nkandlas Nuclear reactor on?
I mean this is a crisis, what can be done right now? besides running wasteful OCGT's all day and night? and then saying we poor please give us money.
