Would be interesting to see if they will be able to to find me, haven't had a connection for years.

Do you have a municipal account (rates, water, etc.)? If so the municipality already knows about you not purchasing electricity. That leads to the question of where you get your electricity from.

There is no option to hide that fact unless you live in a camophlaged hideout in a remote location.

In our area Eskom supply electricity directly, so the municipality doesn't know who use electricity and who not.

Well in that case Eskom would know how little electricity you're using. Same argument - you can't stay off the radar if a solar tax is introduced.
