Eskom issues blackout warning

I like Eskom's new PR strategy. They can't write hate comments or bad news articles when they don't have electricity. wink wink.

I think the standard response to all of this applies, even though its getting old now.

Go fsck yourself Eskom.

Make up your mind
I know you have broken it but how badly.

I have actually stopped paying attention to what ever they say and i just take it as it comes.

ESCOM did the same thing in 2008.
All they want is more MONEY by making the supply unstable and hope that we will just cough up.
Middle finger comes to mind.

This makes me very angry every time I think of all these companies bleeding us taxpayers dry! In Eskom's case money is not even enough any moar!

Dear majority ANC voters (aka a holes!). Why are you keeping a government in power that cannot even demand better service from companies like Eskom? Are you also major beneficiaries of public taxes meant for service delivery? Stop holding SA back and and creating darkness everywhere you look!

I wonder what happened between Monday (when all was thumbs up for the week) and today, 2 days later, when we are suddenly 'putting pressure on the grid' and depleting reserves.

So Eskom tempted fate by stating they did not foresee any power blackouts. Jinxed themselves then?

Bring it, mofukkers...

Am I the only one that thinks this title is a tad sensational click-bait? Load shedding is very different to a black out. A blackout could take weeks to recover from. Besides which the only real statement made by Eskom is that they don't expect load shedding this week.

I came to ask the same question. Doesn't blackout imply the complete collapse of the national grid?

If only they could drop the maximum power to each house they could save a lot of energy while not completely killing the supply.

Not electrically possible afaik.

Analogy wise: You can supply a house with water at half the usual pressure thereby limiting total water delivered, but in the case of elec devices they don't cope with the half pressure part.
