Eskom load shedding schedule

Nope actually for me the first link is a list of municipalities where upon clicking your relevant one, you are met with -

Cannot connect to the configuration database.

While the second link just lets you go through a little dropdown game before informing you -

**We regret that we could not find a schedule for Province: KwaZulu-Natal Main Place: Ethekwini Suburb: Padfield Park. Select the tabbed Alphabets for more suburbs.
If you are an Eskom customer, please contact the Eskom Contact Centre on 08600ESKOM (0860037566) for assistance.
If you are a Municipality / Metro customer please check their web site (see the Municipal Schedules links) or contact them for assistance

So yeah, those 2 links are pretty much just window dressing ;)

Port Elizabeth not keeping to schedule! Power went out at 2:30pm, schedule shows 4pm to 6:30pm :(

How long does load shedding last for? The hours per day

2 hours, plus minus another 30 minutes to switch over. On stage 3 you can have two shedding's per day though.

On Stage 3B you might even be hit with 3 times daily.

Well I wonder what stage Eskom performance bonuses will be at ???

Very nice Eskom, send me an SMA 5 minutes AFTER you have stopped my company, with just on R1million goods in work, probably stooffed now, plus the 4hours short time for 248 workers, and then the kicker being, I get home to find I am cut there too - 76Kms away from my factory .....

One word for you - just one - FOKOVANDIE

the schedules are not worth the bandwidth they are served with

Just phoned my municipality to enquire about the loadshedding schedule because it's not available on the internet. Person that eventually understood what i was asking said " Ehh I don't think we will loadshed today, everybody is away. No electricians available. Don't worry"

Haha that's epic funny

Well I had a shocker today. My wife was busy doing some work and heard the prepaid meter making a noise and called me. As i got to the meter it had a error code --30-- which means communication error. it came back on after 5mins minus 314 units. when i last looked at the meter it had 393 units on when it came back i had 79 units on the meter.

Just mentioning it here so people can be aware. Can somebody hack these meters? I have a landis +gyr.

Try to access the load shedding schedule. As our power was not supposed to be off yet we are in the dark.
This is what I get.Loadshedding page.jpg

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality - Loadshedding: Stage 3
Eskom has communicated that it is implementing stage 3 loadshedding.
This means that the schedules that are placed on the Ekurhuleni website are no longer valid, and Eskom is shedding at its own discretion.

That sucks hard.

Whenever ours goes off due to loadshedding, it doesn't come back on (the box itself) for hours and hours. Just the little red light is constantly on. And then it eventually comes back to life. Will check that we haven't lost any units. Don't think so...
