I am all for private solar, but it isn't really the same . I have a 7kW system on my roof, but I don't get close to that currently. My peak is currently less than half of that and it only for a very short time.

That's only because you haven't orientated them properly. You should easily be able to reach peak power especially in winter when they are cooler.

I have 4 panels that isn't optimally placed yes, but that is how my roof is. On the other part, I saw that you live in the KZN so you probably have summer rain fall. In the Western Cape it is quite cloudy during the winter which means I produce less in winter than in summer, from my stats so far in anycase. The point I was trying to make is that the 5400MW for solar isn't equivalent to 4800MW for Kusile as one can produce constantly and the other when the resource is available.

Though a lot of people don't really know that :). Even in winter here in JHB my 4.3 system only peaks at 3.3

I concur as the Deputy of the Axpert. Now that batteries prices are dropping like a stone, expect that figure to explode now with the constant price increases.

Take your setup as an example, you have double the Wh.

Ja things are looking brighter for Europe now with so many right-leaning parties winning in so many countries.
