Eskom performance data shows improved reliability and suspended load-shedding

Ja things are looking brighter for Europe now with so many right-leaning parties winning in so many countries.

The EU residents are gatvol of their leftist chicken-****ing government it seems.
Have you seen the studios imploding in round 1 of France elections?

I don't know, I was just pointing out that they have been here in the past.
Right now Eskom is probably still polishing turds and running those generators hard, until they blow up.
Going for broke this time- setting the stage probably for Stage 8 when all hell breaks loose.
I just speculate because I do not work there

This is in the back of my mind as well. I hope that they are maintaining their infrastructure and I am wrong though.
I feel bad for the folk who are not as fortunate as us who can afford an off-grid solution.

From life experience when gov, a charou or blacks run a company - you can be sure there is a mighty good chance of lack of maintenance and a mindset of short term goals only.

This govt keeps trying to blame De Ruyter. It doesn't was with me. He ensured the co-ordinated maintenance program was put in place, started removing corrupt ESCOM official and catching coal thieves. Also got the long overdue power station sped up their commissioning and ensured the process was put in place to re commission the sabotaged Kusile units back on track. The crooks then tried to poison him.
The current management of ESCOM back to capacity is for 2 reasons only.
De Ruyters programmes taking effect, which current management are happy to accept the kudos for, despite it not being meant for them.
AND
The fact that demand has dropped due to their customers leaving them, as there was no longer trust in performance and officials of ESCOM.
I wish media would just quote what the current govt wants them to quote.
Demand has also dropped because after 15 years of increased loadshedding and 5x increase in Eskom tariffs.
Another factor is the Gwede has trashed the mining sector, normally a huge consumer of electricity; but they also transitioning to solar & wind.

Even in winter here in JHB my 4.3 system only peaks at 3.3

Also doesn't help when your weather app shows 7 days of straight sunshine but you have 3 days in a row of overcast. Damn you, highveld winter. You're meant to be stable and sunny.

Yup plus the 4th day is on and off cloudy

Reduced loadshedding...thanks to my R100,000.00 spent on solar installation, reducing the kw hours they need to produce for my consumption. The sense of liberation from loadshedding was euphoric but it will take over two years to recover my investment in the solar, while they brag about what a great job they are doing. Eskom sent an email to me congratulating me for my reduced usage of electricity. Didn't know whether to laugh or weep. The saddest thing is the majority of South Africans who cannot afford the alternatives. Then perhaps South Africans could put Eskom out of it's misery altogether.

Don't think you can add different batteries to the mix, though I would set it up as a secondary so another inverter, batteries and panels. Could top up the geyser when not doing the heavy lifting
What battery do you have?

ESKOM is running much better now that Andre left and the new guy in charge Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is doing such a better job of it
Kgosientsho David Ramokgopa, Dr | South African Government

Well something big broke again
