Eskom refuse to replace transformer - Please help

So, if I buy stolen goods; that's also OK then, because it's not my issue, where it comes from, right?
If it were illegal connections and Eskom just replaced the transformer it would probably blow again. In this instance Eskom could replace the transformer and as OP mentioned just go after the people that are buying vouchers from illegal vendors.

Neither buying stolen goods or damaging property is okay. ;)

they buying vouchers at a fraction of the cost so they using a $hit load more than Eskom has allocated (based on actual purchases) for the area. If you getting something at below cost or free will you use it efficiently?
The transformers do not meet the the actual demand because the demand is unaccounted for - its still theft.

Can't say I disagree with Eskom's actions here. If they replace that transformer; it's just going to blow again due to the illegal connections (Yes, I said connections because it's the same thing) - so this is their way to force compliance.

And your whole attitude to the whole thing stinks too.
Get the majority to pay and stop being scum-bags
I hope Eskom wins this fight.
It's not a private person's job to police other people.

Imagine your neighbor not paying and then eskom switch your power off.

I would probably go full juvenile if I knew who the non-paying neighbors were. I would TP and Egg the hell out of their houses. Then dump all the rotting stuff out of my fridge over their walls.

The illegal tokens thing shouldnt be happening.
Its almost always a case of a stolen system that can generate tokens.
The pre-paid meters have a communication system though and codes should be validated as coming from a valid source.
So technically its Eskom trying to force their issues on others to resolve.

I must say, I know a neighbor 2 houses from me, They don't pay any water and lights, They hide behind a huge fence. The hawks once arrested them , they were in jail for 2 weeks for another crime. What can I do against them, I think nothing.

If you knowingly buy from a dealer who gives you R200 worth of electricity units for R100 surely you are as complicit as the dealer? Unless the residents want to plead ignorance? I'd like to see how they argue that one, just because the are flaws in the system does not mean it's a free for al.

I absolutely agree, anyone buying the stolen tokens should be prosecuted for it.
It doesnt mean that others who were buying through official channels at the normal price should be tasked with trying to sort them out though.

We can all agree it's an untenable situation to find yourself in, for both the paying residents and Eskom.

Its not anybody's duty to go sort out their neighbours for not paying. Eskom has the legal means to disconnect non payers and to open criminal charges against them if they illegally reconnect themselves. Going to threaten your neighbours only allows you to be criminally charged. Its ridiculous to try and put that burden on the public.

Since they're just cryptographic tokens of some nature, one would assume the algorithm for generating them has been leaked / reverse engineered.
You probably mean that the keys are compromised. (Assuming, of course, that they are not using proprietary algorithms.)
