Eskom refuse to replace transformer - Please help

Transformer installed last night. But then we got hit by load reduction this morning LOL.

Wonder if the unpaying/fake token buying neighbours have caved.

At least you will have power some of the time now and can charge devices and have the gennie to run when required.

I'm sure they are still buying fake tokens but Eskom must disconnect these guys. And Eskom has all the info regarding who's paying and who is not paying.

Yip, the genie is on standby all the time.

Your life will never be the same for as long as you live with criminals, good first step on the generator but you should start planning for other options, like a battery and solar backup, I cannot imagine co-existingwith a noisy generator for a long time.

I was just going to say until they determine that all the the illegal and fake tokens have stopped they will hit you guys with load reductions and next time the transformer goes they will ignore you.
so either convince the 60%to get their act together or move

And I'm sure with all the load shedding/reduction the transformers also takes some punishment. Specially when power comes back on again with all the power surges.

And?
You going to get hit double with the rest of us Load shedding time and the rest of the time load reduction - sure they damaging their infrastructure but what do they care they not making any money from it
and when it inevitably goes they will say its because of the connections not the switching off and on.

Load reduction doesn't occur during load shedding.

Weird. You wouldn't think that loadshedding a different part of the country would ease the load on the overloaded transformers?

Yup honestly don't know why they don't do them together, but they don't.
 
Eskom came back this morning to our block to continue the audit and to get the fines signed off or get disconnected. It seems that Eskom is really doing something about this.

Shhhh, don't let the naysayers on here think that Eskom is actually doing something now. Remember, SA has to burn, for them to tell us they told us so.


PS. Glad you're on the grid again. Let's hope Eskom disconnects the people who owe money, only and not everyone.
